PART 1 — Reflexive Verbs & Daily Routine

A reflexive verb is used when the subject performs and receives the action at the same time (e.g., Yo me lavo = I wash myself). Some verbs completely change meaning when they become reflexive (e.g., ir = to go; irse = to leave).

EJERCICIO 1.2: Pronoun Placement (Content Creation)

When you have two verbs (like "quiero" + "ducharse"), you can put the pronoun BEFORE the first verb or ATTACHED to the end of the second. Rewrite these plans using the alternative structure.

PART 2 — The Irregular Preterite (Past Simple)

The Rule-Breakers: The verbs SER and IR are identical (fui, fuiste, fue...). Other irregular verbs change their stems completely and take endings with no accent marks (e.g., U-group: estar ➔ estuv-, I-group: hacer ➔ hic-, J-group: decir ➔ dij-).

EJERCICIO 2.1: Mini-Interview (Preguntas Variadas)

Answer these questions in Spanish using irregular preterite verbs. Write full sentences!

EJERCICIO 2.2: "La Fábrica de Frases Locas" (Crazy Sentences)

Build 3 logical but crazy sentences by choosing one element from each column and conjugating the verb correctly in the Preterite.

PART 3 — Preterite vs. Imperfect

The Rules: Use the Imperfect for habits ("used to") or background actions in progress ("was -ing"). Use the Preterite for completed events. They work together: Imperfect is the ongoing background; Preterite interrupts it.

EJERCICIO 3.1: Choose the Correct Tense

EJERCICIO 3.2: Content Creation – "El Fin de Semana Desastroso"

Write a short paragraph (4 to 6 sentences) about a disastrous morning where everything went wrong.

Use at least 3 Reflexive Verbs in the past (e.g. me desperté, me levanté, me duché, me dormí).
Use at least 1 Imperfect + Preterite interruption (e.g. Yo me duchaba cuando no hubo más agua caliente).
Use time markers like primero, luego, después, finalmente.
