SECTION 1 — What is a Yo-Go Verb?

Yo-Go verbs are completely regular for every subject pronoun — EXCEPT for "Yo" (I).
The first-person form always ends in "-go". For all other subjects (tú, él, nosotros, ellos), just use the normal endings you already know.

Formula: Verb Stem + GO (only for the "Yo" form!)

hacer (to do/make) → hac- + go = hago
poner (to put/place) → pon- + go = pongo
salir (to leave/go out) → sal- + go = salgo

Group 1: Pure "Yo-Go" Verbs (Only "Yo" is irregular):

SECTION 2 — Combo Verbs (Yo-Go + Boot Verbs)

These three verbs have two irregularities at once: their "Yo" form ends in "-go" AND they change their root vowel like a stem-changing (boot) verb for other subjects.

Group 2: Combo "Yo-Go" + Stem-Changing (Boot) Verbs:

Instructions: Fill in the blanks in the conversation between Ana and Marcos about their daily routines. Conjugate the verb in brackets correctly.

Ana: Marcos, ¿a qué hora (salir/tú) de casa por las mañanas?
Marcos: Yo (salir) a las siete. Siempre (traer/yo) el café de casa.
Ana: ¡Qué temprano! Yo (venir) a las nueve. ¿Y qué (hacer/tú) después del trabajo?
Marcos: (poner/yo) música y cocino. ¿Tú (tener) tiempo para cenar conmigo esta semana?

🚨 BONUS — Common Errors to Avoid

Incorrect	Correct	Why?
*Yo haceo la tarea.	Yo hago la tarea.	"Haceo" does not exist. The -go ending replaces the stem vowel: hago.
*Yo salo a las ocho.	Yo salgo a las ocho.	"Salo" is incorrect. Sal + go = salgo. The "g" must be there.
*Yo teno mucho trabajo.	Yo tengo mucho trabajo.	"Teno" is wrong. Tener ends in -go in first person: tengo.
*Yo trago los papeles.	Yo traigo los papeles.	Careful! "Trago" = I swallow/gulp. "Traigo" = I bring.
